Last fall we photographed Melissa on her family farm in her bridal dress a few weeks after her wedding.  Her trash the dress session was SO much fun, there was even a bull and a tire swing;)  I brought my holga (a plastic toy camera I love) along with me for the shoot.  We mainly shoot film when we’re on vacation or for special projects, but we LOVE it!  There is something about film that digital can’t touch, and we hope to start integrating more of it in to our work flow again.  Here are a couple of our favorites…

Trash the dress

A while ago we posted some photos from a portrait shoot on Kiawah Island with Maggie + Jack.  Here are some of the trash the dress photos we mentioned of Susie in her wedding gown.  She had a vision of herself falling back in to the ocean, and Jack wanted to help out too;)

Bridal Portrait on the farm

I went up to Troutman, North Carolina a few weeks ago to photograph Melissa in her wedding dress on her family farm. We started in the barn and made our way through the cow pasture and down to the tire swing. It was a gorgeous afternoon, and its not difficult to see why she adores that land so much.

From the bride:
“oh. my. gosh. i LOVE them! how FUN!!! thank you thank you thank you!!!” -Melissa
